Prom Make Up Secrets Revealed!
Prom Make Up is the finishing touch for your magical night.
Glamor is definitely in this year and there are so many looks to choose from.
Here's a good rule to follow: keep it simple! Yes I know you want to look special or even dramatic - but be careful not to lose that clean and natural look. Prom dresses will add a lot to the look anyway.
But of course the key to all of this is practice, practice and practice your prom make up. If you're having your eye make up or hair done by someone, go for a trial run first. This way you will have confidence on prom night about how fabulous you look!
So whatever style you choose for your prom make up - whether it be funky, romantic, trendy or classis, you'll want to do it right from head to toe. That's why we designed this website - to help you all we can.

So if you want to emphasize your eyes and make them really pop, use complementary colours in eye make up.
For example if your eyes are blue then brown and rose tones contrast beautifully and will really make your eyes appear more vibrant.
And so for brown eyes, eyeshadows in the greens and golds will really make your eyes smolder.
Change the shade of make up and the intensity depending on the look you want to achieve.
Another one of our great little eye make up tips is that charcoal, black and chocolate shades are great neutral colors for prom make up that can add flare to any eye color.
But remember - too much color can also make your eyes appear smaller, so keep the dark colors to the crease of your eye lid and highlight the brow bone with a light shade.
But just check this out - free shipping and 5% discount on their already cheap cheap prices if you buy 3 items! And you can buy all the major brands of Perfume and Cosmetics - from StrawberryNET.com at huge discounts!
(Don't you just love the name!)
And some more make up tips - if you apply eyeliner, only line the top lid to give your eyes a really round large look. If you line top and bottom your prom make up will be quite a dramatic, smoky look but you do risk making your eyes look smaller.
Apply mascara to both the top lashes and bottom. Apply two coats and make sure your lashes are not all clogged together.
Don't apply too much blush. It should only be applied as a slight tint to the apples of your cheeks.
To contour your features use a neutral contouring powder.
Now I know that this may seem too much to absorb, after all we're only learning how to apply make up for heavens sake! It's not rocket science!! But yes you do need to practice - that's the trick.
Great lips will frame your dazzling smile perfectly - remember to find a color lipstick that matches your skin tone.
To make sure you have the right color, what can we say - practice, practice, practice your prom make up combinations and you will soon find the right colors for you.
Lip liner should be slightly darker than your lipstick and the gradual transition of dark outer lips to lighter will give you that pouty look.
But if your lip liner is too dark it will stand out and look unnatural - don't try to change the shape of your entire lip with prom make up - it won't work!
Most girls apply their prom make up about 3 inches from the mirror! So it is essential that you step back after applying it to see the overall picture you are creating!
It's just like creating a work of art really!
